 León, Guanajuato.- After 72 hours, the young driver and alleged person responsible for running over a father and son in the José María Morelos bypass was released; relatives demand justice from the authorities.

Fabiola, his sisters and mother, went on Saturday morning to the facilities of Cepol Poniente, in the Piletas neighborhood, where they were informed that the 19-year-old driver would be released.

Father and son are hit by driver

The accident occurred on Wednesday morning, on the boulevard mentioned at the height of Balcones del Campestre.

Juan Antonio, 32, had fallen from the motorcycle he was riding on trying to dodge a ladder that fell from a truck in front of him.

After the incident, he called his father J. Felix, 63, who arrived shortly after to support him, both were on the ridge when they were run over by the driver of a gray car.

After the accident, authorities and paramedics attended, who confirmed the death of father and son.

From that day, the driver of the car was at the disposal of the authorities while the investigation was carried out.

They confirm that driver was released 

On Saturday morning, it was confirmed that he would be released, being classified as culpable homicide.

The Montiel family demands justice, "paying for the damage with money that does not matter to us, that will not return the life of my father or my brother, we want justice and we want support from the people," said Fabiola.

"It is not fair to us that for an amount he already goes free, with the money they do not return to people, an animal did not leave, two human beings left," he said, adding that his brother and father were the pillars of the house.

He added that on the part of the insurer, they were offered a total of one million pesos as compensation but added that they will not grant forgiveness, "we do not want anything, that he pays with jail, we are not going to grant forgiveness, we want justice not money," said the family.
